Senator Barack Obama
To the Editor:
I disagree with you, Sir. Sen. Obama plays up to the gallery and hogs publicity. He is just an eloquent speaker — a good orator — who touches on topics close to American hearts, and thus wins them over. I have first-hand experience of his concern for the less fortunate. If the people who are poor or unimportant write to him, he or his staff do not even respond whereas other senators and congressmen and congresswomen may not be able to help you much, but at least have the kindness in them to reply.
Sen. Obama is a smart and ambitious politician who is out to make hay while the sun shines.
What good has he done so far other than great speeches? I do not think he will make a good president.
