Foreign/Multilingual journalists:
Read your local press for fun and profit
A San Francisco startup,International Boulevard, is looking for foreign journalism students or multilingual journalists to read their (non-English) local press and send us articles to translate for our American audience. We are looking for everything from feature articles to interesting cultural reporting to investigations. We need people with excellent command of English, and some journalism experience is preferred.
We will pay a small bounty for every article we publish. Reading the press is something you do anyway, and you will be giving well-deserved exposure to your favorite local magazines and newspapers. Journalists interested in translating the pieces they send us are encouraged.
Languages we are (primarily) seeking: Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Greek, Japanese, Farsi, Korean.
EXPERIENCE:
Native fluency in the language of the press you are reading;excellent command of English, and some journalism experience is preferred.
