Our associate editor will focus on maintaining and growing our directory of news and talk stations and programs from around the world. This individual will work on projects to curate new, unique, and special event content to keep TuneIn’s user experience fresh and dynamic. This is an entry-level, part-time, contract position with lots of room to grow, and it’s an exciting time to join our team.

Responsibilities:
- Find new sources of content for TuneIn to index
- Update existing directory listings in accordance
with TuneIn’s category and styles guides
- Identify trends and upcoming events to feature
- Monitor daily a variety of sources and products
for breaking news and event information
- Pitch content and product features
- Critically evaluate media coverage to determine
the best sources for individual subjects
Requirements:
- Graduate of a top university
- Heavy consumer of podcasts and live audio
content—particularly news and editorial content
- Strong record of academic achievement
- Passion for and deep understanding of current
events
- Strong understanding of the global media
landscape
- Able to telecommute
- Proficiency with the web and mobile devices
- Experience using CMS platforms
- Quick learner, able to pick up new technologies
and platforms with ease
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong appreciation for content creation
- Familiarity with AP style
- Experience in journalism and technology
- Entrepreneurial by nature–You need not be told to
do things
