Corpus Christi Caller-Times, a subsidiary of the E.W. Scripps Company and proud member of the community for over 125 years, welcomes motivated, detail-oriented journalists with experience in page design and copy editing to apply for openings with our news production team.
Successful candidates work well under deadline pressure with speed, efficiency, accuracy, and confidence. We demand outstanding communication skills in a fast-paced environment and an unwavering attention to detail. Our Central desk supports web, smartphone, and tablet products and produces 7 award-winning daily newspapers in Texas, including the hometown Caller-Times paper, and on the West Coast. We use InDesign and InCopy within a cloud-based Saxotech content management system.
Strong candidates possess a BS/ BA in news/media/journalism discipline or equivalent experience, and two years of daily newspaper experience.Candidates must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. The Caller-Times offers competitive pay with 401(k) company match.
